Being more active will benefit you whatever your, size or ability

Walking is one of the best ways to start being active, it’s great – you can do it anywhere, at anytime and either alone with friends or as part of an established walking group.

All you need to do is 30 minuets of moderate intensity or brisk walking on five or more days a week.  This can be done on one session or spread throughout the day in smaller 10 minute periods to accumulate 30 minuets.

Moderate intensity means working hard enough to make you breathe more heavily then normal and become slightly warmer, but not so hard that you are unable to talk and be active at the same time, or that you become exhausted.
