Walk Leaders play a very important role in the delivery of walking programmes.  Am Dro am Glonc Sir Gâr is committed to supporting it’s walk leaders through training and the provision of insurance through Let's Walk Cymru.

 

For those ‘health walk’ leaders that are employed they should be covered by their organisations own insurance - this will need checking.

 

For those not employed and are classed as ‘volunteers’ they are eligible to receive the free insurance cover through Let’s Walk Cymru.

 

Insurance is only provided by Let’s Walk Cymru if:

 

• Volunteers have attended a ‘health walk’ leader training course and they deliver walks according to the standards set out in the training.
• The individual has been registered with Let’s Walk Cymru.
