Slips, trips and falls by over 65s are the most common type of accident in the home.  Preventing falls is not an easy task.  The causes of falls are varied and complex.

But there are a great number of simple and practical things that can be done to reduce the risk.

What you can do:

 Remove falls/trip hazards

Keep your feet healthy and wear good fitting footwear  

Keep active and eat well
Make sure you have your eyes tested regularly
Have your medication reviewed regularly
Let your GP know if you have fallen
